Thompson Boling Arena Parking

Please allow yourself plenty of time before the event as traffic can be considerably busier than normal around times of Thompson Boling Arena events in Knoxville. 

Thompson-Boling Arena is located at 1600 Phillip Fulmer Way, Suite 202, Knoxville, TN 37996. If you are driving in to see the show, make sure to give yourself at least 30 minutes to find parking and make it to your seat.

Directions

From McGhee Tyson Airport:

  • Turn north on U.S. Highway 129 leaving the airport.
  • After crossing the Tennessee River bridge just outside of Knoxville, exit onto Neyland
  • Drive (Tennessee Highway 153).
  • Turn left (south) at the bottom of the exit ramp and follow the road until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible.
  • Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Turn right at stoplight.
  • Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to the parking garage. 

From I-40 East (from Nashville) and I-75 north (from Chattanooga):

  • Follow I-40 and I-75 to I-40/I-75 junction in west Knoxville.
  • Continue on I-40 east to U.S. Highway 129 south.
  • Follow 129 south to the exit for Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153).
  • Turn left (south) at the bottom of the exit ramp and follow the road until Thompson-
  • Boling Arena is visible.
  • Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard.
  • Turn right at stoplight.
  • Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to the parking garage. 

From I-40 West (from Tri-Cities and Asheville, NC):

  • Follow I-40 west to the James White Parkway exit.
  • Follow Parkway to Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153) until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible.
  • Turn right onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Turn right at stoplight.
  • Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to the parking garage. 

From I-75 south (from Lexington, KY):

  • Follow I-75 south to I-275 south just past Merchants Road.
  • Follow I-275 to I-40 east.
  • Exit I-40 east onto James White Parkway and follow Parkway to Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153) until Thompson-Boling Arena is visible.
  • Turn right onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard.
  • Turn right at stoplight.
  • Follow Phillip Fulmer Way to the parking garage.

Parking 

Read on to discover the best places to park. All non-prepaid parking is $10.00 cash only! All parking lots are operated by the University of Tennessee Parking & Transit Services. 

Concerts & Special Events:

Parking is available in all adjacent parking lots and garages for Concerts & Special Events. Some Concerts & Special Events offer Premium Parking located in the G5/S30 lot, located on the top level of the Administrative Garage directly across from the Arena. For events where Premium Parking is available, you must purchase a Premium Parking permit before the show from the Thompson-Boling Arena Concerts & Special Events Box Office. 

Tennessee Athletics:

For Tennessee Athletics events, please contact UT Parking Services for the availability of parking in garages around the Arena during athletic events, (865) 974-6031 as most of the lots around the arena are permit only. For Basketball events, FREE parking and shuttle service is available from the University of Tennessee’s Ag Campus. Shuttles begin running 2 hours before tip-off.
